Professional Biography

    Jay Gentry graduated from UCLA's School of Business Administration in 1967 and did graduate work at Fuller Theological Seminary while serving as a Youth Minister at Bel Air Presbyterian Church.

    A Distinguished Graduate from both USAF Officer Training School and Flight Training, Captain Gentry was a flight and academic instructor during his five years in the USAF.

    Upon his discharge from the Air Force, Mr. Gentry began his business career at Xerox Corporation where he was an award winning Sales Representative, Sales Manager and Regional Program Manager. In 1977, responding to his growing interest in the communication and training process, he sought out and joined TRATEC, Inc., a Los-Angeles training and consulting company. Over the next three years he served as a Custom Sales Representative, Regional Manager and finally, as Director of Marketing and Sales.

    In mid 1980, Mr. Gentry founded CCT, Inc. and began an independent consulting practice. Over the last 27 years, he has worked with companies, both large and small, to develop and implement business strategies. He has been a resource to clients in sales, sales management, marketing, new product introduction, customer service education, a variety of training and communications projects, and in corporate culture change.

    In the early 1990's Mr. Gentry completed a three year contract as Director of Marketing for Rancho San Carlos. This 20,000 acre property located in the foothills overlooking Carmel, California is in transition from a land grant cattle ranch into the country‚Äôs first Community Preserve. His work there included the development of concept, image, and identity for this innovative plan to combine sensitive development and large scale preservation. He also led the market research and the implementation of strategic and tactical marketing programs targeted at high-net-worth individuals with a specific "values" orientation.

    During his business career Jay Gentry has held executive level positions in both marketing and sales for American companies in manufacturing, consulting services, and real estate development. He has successful sales management experience at all levels from line sales manager up through the leadership of an international sales organization. He has led the development and launch of innovative products and market solutions.

    Mr. Gentry brings "real world" sales, sales management, and corporate culture expertise and solutions to his consulting and development projects. Engagements typically include involvement in the implementation of recommendations and solutions. He offers companies the experience and skills required to develop and implement plans which will increase the effectiveness of their marketing and sales efforts.
